Product – it does not stop at realization
In the study, students focus on design praxis on several planes, i.e. production, user, and ethical plane. They become acquainted with materials, technologies and ergonomics and are encouraged to be able to consider products from the perspective of the end user, long-term sustainability and ethical and environmental responsibility. As well as leading students to complex designer thinking, these perspectives form an integral part of the designer process.
Students often do not merely solve product design, but also its packaging and the sales support resources. Therefore, it is necessary that they are able to think in context and proportionately to the assignment. When designing, we place emphasis on its complex content – from drawing the sketch over the model or a working prototype down to the presentation of the project. Cooperation with the industry helps our students receive feedback and view their own work criticaly.
