Collaboration

Polaroidlove

Following the re-introduction of the instant photography technology (Polaroid), the studio collaborated with the Polaroidlove company from Prague, the exclusive importer of the Impossible photographic material. Using the SX-70 and Polaroid 600 cameras, we made a number of pictures during the Novesta workshop in Partizánske in Slovakia in 2011 and 2013. Students were given an opportunity to work with this technology and create photographic sets. Several types of new materials, both black and white (Polaroid Silver Shade 100 and others) were tested. The selected Impossible images formed a basis for an exhibition at the Polagraph Gallery in Prague in February 2012. The exhibition in the Polagraph Gallery included a lecture and a demonstration of individual works. A discussion on the possibilities of use of this technology followed. In 2013, for the first time, we were able to experiment together with Polaroidlove with a completely new Impossible 8×10 inch material, making several shots during the workshop. In the future, we are planning to work with Polaroidlove in various workshops.
