The Faculty of Multimedia Communications is opening two new study programs
9. October 2023The Faculty of Multimedia Communications of the TUB in Zlín received accreditation for two new study programs. Next year, he will open the fourteenth atelier in the series, Jewelry Design. On the other hand, a new bachelor’s program, Creative Industries and Digital Culture, will be added to the Arts Management studio.
“The Creative Industries and Digital Culture (KODK) program will become a place where theory turns into practice. It will focus on innovation, digital art and design. Education here will take place with an emphasis on audience, sustainability, diversity, inclusion and accessibility. So that culture and art are equal for everyone,” Eva Gartnerová, head of the Arts Management studio, describes the focus of the new study program.
KODK is created for the wide use of graduates in practice, in all areas of cultural and creative industries. The portfolio of subjects offered, some of which will be taught in English, is therefore broad – Cultural Management, Visual Studies for the Digital Age, New Media Curation, Digital Design without Barriers, or Green Design and Sustainable Materials.
The new Jewelry Design studio is also committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability. It will also open its first year next year, to which this year’s graduates and other interested parties can apply. “Students of this studio will be prepared for work in the field thanks to an understanding of current trends and market needs, they will acquire the ability to apply modern technologies in the process of creating costume jewelry and jewelry, and the ability to effectively promote and sell their products,” comments Sabina Psotková, head of the Jewelry Design studio, on the course of study.
Applications for the academic year 2024/2025 to study bachelor’s programs at new and existing studios can be submitted electronically by 30 November 2023 via the website prihlaska.utb.cz. Those interested in studying can view the premises of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of TUB in Zlín as part of the Open Day, on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
