ADO at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Live! Bratislava

Atelier Fashion Design will once again present itself at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Live! Bratislava. The show will take place on October 13, 2023 at 4 p.m. in the building of the Slovak National Gallery.

MBFL! began its history in 2013 under the name Fashion Live!, when it was a clear reaction from below to current events on the Slovak fashion scene. Since then, it has grown into a stable platform that provides space for the presentation of mainly Slovak and Czech designers. Since 2013, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Live! presented by 83 designers and 93 fashion students.

Female and male students will present their collections:

Barbora Vajčner Miklíčková – Villain
Villain: unfettered, restless and eternally free. The theme of the collection is the close connection of elements of traditional folk clothing with the principles of functional design. The result is today’s clothing, the dominant element of which is functional embroidery, based on Slovakian patterns from the second half of the 19th century and cutting solutions from the Uherskohradišť region.

Barbora Cingelová – Pixelage
A collection of designer knitwear using knitting technology focused on working with a graphic motif. The pixel graphics theme represents management of the digital age, with a reference to the future.

Diana Gundová – Universe
In its form, the collection reflects the individual rules of clothing etiquette for specific occasions. The clothes are designed according to the current aesthetic tendencies, which are based on the current forecasts of trend agencies. The individual silhouettes connect the used materials, the distinctive print of the adoplny, which refer to the infinite universe in an inspirational way.

Tereza Koukalová – KEEP YOUR DUCKs
The collection uses a new original author’s print that matches and harmonizes with the style of the Woox brand. The visual inspiration for the creation of the print and the collection was the ducks and their environment, which is a symbiosis of the city and nature.

Jan Kopčák – LADA – Closet of life
The collection is based on the women’s folk clothing of the village of Kolačkov in eastern Slovakia. She applies its structural and decorative elements in a clothing collection, depicting three stages in a woman’s life: the journey to the fields, the journey to love and the journey to the altar. The woman is accompanied by the symbolism of flowers, which are used in the author’s print.

Every year with MBFL! brings to Bratislava three days full of fashion, during which it also gives the opportunity to present its work to students of fashion fields (Atelier 343 at the Academy of Fine Arts, Tomáš Bata University in Zlín and Metropolitan University in Budapest).
