Preparatory Course for Applicants from Ukraine
25. May 2022The Faculty of Multimedia Communications of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is organizing a lifelong learning course “Preparation of Ukrainian Applicants for the Admission Procedure at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications” in the period from September to December 2022.
Are you a graduate of a high school in Ukraine (or are you graduating this year) and are you interested in studying design, animation or audiovisual at the FMC? Are you staying in the Czech Republic close Zlín? Do you know Czech or are you at least learning the Czech language? Unfortunately, you have missed the admission procedure for the academic year 2022/2023, because it took place in January 2022, but you can start preparing for the admission procedure for the bachelor’s study programs Multimedia and Design, Theory and Practice of Animation and Audiovisual Theory and Practice for the academic year 2023/2024, which will take place in January 2023.
In the first round of the admission procedure, you will have to prove your talent by submitting a portfolio of works according to the assignment specified in the relevant admissions procedure directive (admission directives for the academic year 2023/2024 will be published in July 2022 and published here).
Applicants who advance to the second round will do a written and oral exam in the Czech language, and work on several assignment of the creative abilities exam.
If you want to succeed in the big competition in the entrance exams, it is essential that you not only have a good command of the Czech language, but are also familiar with the history of culture and design, with special regard to the field you apply for.
The free-of-charge lifelong learning course, which will be organized by the Faculty of Multimedia Communications from September to December 2022, once every 14 days on Fridays, can help you with all this. For a start, it is enough if you have basic knowledge of spoken Czech and live close enough to Zlín to be able to attend the course.
