Workshops, Exhibitions, Shows and other events organized by the FMC
Diploma & Bachelor Theses
We have been organising an exhibition to showcase the work of our graduates to the public on a regular basis since 2018. In 2023, we also included the undergraduate students in the exhibition. Every year in June, we prepare an exhibition of everything that has been created in our (now 14) studios in Zlín: Animation, Audiovisual Arts, Arts Management, Shoe Design, Fashion Design, Jewellery Design, Digital Design, Photography, Graphic Design, Product Design, Spatial Design, Industrial Design and Glass.
Talent FMK (The FMC Talent)
This unique competition, created at the Institute of Marketing Communications in 2010, connects students of our faculty with organizations and companies from the commercial sphere. Following the Young Lions model, it is a two-day competition. Companies present their assignments to students on the first day. Individual student teams have 24 hours to work on their assignment. On the following day, the work of the team is presented and graded, and the results of Talent FMK are announced. The competition brings students closer to real industry and offers companies creative marketing and design solutions, creating a platform for networking and building work relationships.
Zlin Design Week
A week full of design, discovering of new talents, and unforgettable experiences. Zlín regularly comes alive with design day and night. A visitor can look forward to exhibitions, galas, installations in modular buildings, lectures, workshops, excursions and parties. The meaning and magic of Zlin Design Week is above all the result of the collaboration between students, designers and companies.
Busfest
A festival in moving trolleybuses, a musical ride you want to experience again every year. Three trolleybuses, three performers, the wildest public transport experience of your life. This is Busfest, which has been organised for 12 years by the students of the FMK within the framework of the KOMAG course. Come and see for yourself, every year at the end of April.
Fashion Event Dotek (The „Touch“ Fashion Event)
A one-day event packed with an extensive supporting programme, ending with a gala evening with a fashion show. With a few exceptions, it is held annually in Zlín and its aim is to help and give space to young emerging talents. The project has already helped several non-profit organizations supporting women with breast cancer. It is currently working with the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer, o.p.s.
