Fashion Revolution Week 2025 at G18 Gallery: Sustainability as the new norm
14. April 2025Zlín is once again joining the global Fashion Revolution movement and G18 Gallery is preparing a week full of inspiration, creativity and responsibility towards the planet. From 22 to 27 April 2025 you can look forward to the third edition of the programme dedicated to sustainable fashion, ethical design and innovation in the fashion industry.
The week will open on Tuesday 22 April with the popular Shop & Dance event, which will combine the opening of student work from the Fashion Design and Shoe Design Studios with the opening of a pop-up showroom full of original local pieces. Music and the opportunity to dance will add to the atmosphere, so fun is guaranteed!
In addition to creative workshops focused on upcycling, sustainable materials or zero waste design, the programme will also offer inspiring lectures and film screenings. Wednesday 23 April will bring a screening of a documentary on the impact of the fashion industry, Friday 25 April will see a workshop on upcycling shirts led by Zlín designers, and Sunday 27 April will feature international guests, including Slovak designer Maria Štraneková.
The whole week is a great opportunity to reflect on an issue that reminds us of the importance of transparency and accountability in the fashion industry. Be part of the change and come to be inspired, create and discuss.
