Lecture Pre-judicial Violence in G18 Gallery

We would like to invite you to an interesting and informative lecture on Pre-judicial Violence, prepared by In IUSTITIA. The lecture will take place on Monday 17 March in the G18 Gallery and the entrance fee is free.

Prejudice-based violence is unfortunately an ever-present problem in our society. It can take various forms – physical attacks, verbal abuse, harassment, discrimination or psychological pressure. The motives for these acts are often rooted in prejudice and stereotypes, but also in a lack of understanding towards those who are different.

We will offer you an in-depth look at the issue of prejudicial violence. You will learn what the causes of this type of violence are, how it manifests itself, what effects it has on the victims and society as a whole, and how to deal with such situations. Particular attention will be paid to homophobic and transphobic violence that targets people from the LGBTQ+ community. Speakers from In IUSTITIA will present concrete stories and examples, which will help to better understand and empathise with those affected by this violence.

After the lecture there will be space for discussion and questions, so you will have the opportunity to actively participate. Not only will you learn a lot of interesting and important information, but you will also support efforts to raise awareness and prevent homophobic and transphobic violence in our society. It is important that we work to eliminate prejudice and promote respect for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
