Fashion will take over Zlín
27. February 2025Fashion Event Dotek returns on 22 March 2025 with the 13th edition of the event full of fashion and young talent, this time with the theme Prologue. The charity event, packed with a rich accompanying programme and ending with a gala evening with a fashion show featuring 9 collections from 12 designers from the Czech Republic and Denmark, will be held this year in the 75th building of the Svit complex in Zlín. In addition to the after party, the event will also include a charity auction, the proceeds of which will go to support the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer, o.p.s.
Fashion Event Dotek is a project of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of Tomas Bata University in Zlín with the aim of helping and giving space to young emerging talents. “This year, we again offered students of fashion design the opportunity to create their thesis on a topic determined by the non-profit project Fashion Event Dotek,” describes MgA. Adriana Šatková from the Fashion Design studio and adds: “The cooperation takes place regularly, which allows us not only to allow designers to present their creations, but also to connect students of FMK UTB and support a good cause.”
The accompanying program will start at 10 a.m. at the Chvíle florist, where Olga Burešová will share not only the secrets of effective PR and marketing communication in practice, but also many inspiring stories. “I visited Fashion Event Dotek as a speaker about 10 years ago and I have been following its development and the work of students across the departments of FMK UTB with enthusiasm for a long time,” comments Olga Burešová. At 11 a.m. you can look forward to another workshop, this time directed by photographer Kuba Zeman, who will share his experience in the Photography studio and provide valuable advice for orientation in modern photography. The educational morning will end at 12 o’clock with choreographer Monina Nevrlá.
The evening program will begin at 5 p.m. with a silent auction where you will have the opportunity to bid on selected pieces. There will be clothing, jewelry, ceramics and photographs. This will be followed by a fashion show consisting of 9 collections by 12 designers, 4 of whom are students of the Fashion Design studio. The fashion show will end with the 10th benefit collection with pieces donated by the designers themselves. At the end of the event, visitors will be treated to an after party featuring artists such as COUNT, SONJA, KEWU and MÁÚCTA.
