Industrial Design Studio Receives 10 Awards at the 2023 European Product Design Award
29. February 2024The Industrial Design Studio has received 10 awards at the prestigious annual international European Product Design Award 2023, showcasing the best designs from all over the world.
In the student category, Martin Kuchta and his autonomous tram called Škoda ForFuture, designed in collaboration with the ŠKODA GROUP, received the Top Design Winner in AUTOMOTIVE & TRANSPORT/Trams category.
The Winner in AUTOMOTIVE & TRANSPORT/Cars: Electric and Self Driven student category, an award also went to Michal Juráň for his electric Arrow car, designed in collaboration with Kuberg.
The Winner in AUTOMOTIVE & TRANSPORT/Bicycle student category, an award was presented to Michal Štalmach for Former, a growing children’s bicycle designed in collaboration with Devonic.
Cenu Winner in AUTOMOTIVE & TRANSPORT/EBikes získal ve studentské kategorii Tomáš Hořín za cargo kolo QuickTime, realizované ve spolupráci se společnostmi FORT FRAMES a Cargio Industries.
Cenu Winner in EDUCATIONAL/Educational Tools obdrželi ve studentské kategorii Štěpán Dlabaja a Tadeáš Kříbek za modulární platformu AREALMS, využívající principů rozšířené reality.
Dvě ceny Winner in HOME (Household Products)/Home Furniture získala ve studentské kategorii Sabina Stržínková za interiérovou židli Tammi a interiérový stůl a lavici SABI, realizované ve spolupráci se společností JELÍNEK – výroba nábytku.
Cenu Winner in the HOME (Household Products)/Home Furniture: Living room / Professional získal vedoucí ateliéru Průmyslový design doc. MgA. Martin Surman, ArtD. za interiérové křeslo OVO, vyráběné společnostmi Duchoň Design a Dýhy Večeřa.
The Winner in the AUTOMOTIVE & TRANSPORT/EBikes student category was Tomáš Hořín for his QuickTime cargo bike, made in collaboration with FORT FRAMES and Cargio Industries.
The Winner in the EDUCATIONAL/Educational Tools student category was Štěpán Dlabaja and Tadeáš Kříbek for their AREALMS modular platform, using principles of augmented reality.
The two Winner in the HOME (Household Products)/Home Furniture student category was Sabina Stržínková for her Tammi interior chair and the SABI interior table and bench, made in collaboration with JELÍNEK Furniture Production.
The Winner in the HOME (Household Products)/Home Furniture: Living room / Professional was doc. MgA. Martin Surman, ArtD., head of the Industrial Design studio with his OVO interior chair, produced by Duchoň Design and Dýhy Večeřa.
Honorable mentions were awarded to Veronika Valušková for the AQUS beverage dispenser, designed in collaboration with Tescoma, and Štěpán Dlabaja for the Katzegotchi electronic toy using artificial intelligence.
After recently winning the third prestigious Red Dot Award and the National Student Design Award GRAND, this is another of many great achievements at the international level for the Industrial Design Studio and the Faculty of Multimedia Communications.
