Zlin Design Week Conference 2022
13. April 2022Together with the next edition of the Zlin Design Week festival, the Conference, which is an integral part of the festival, is coming. On Monday 9 May 2022 at the Zlín Congress Centre, visitors can look forward to inspiring lectures, meetings with experts and interesting personalities, discussions and, above all, DESIGN THAT HELPS.
After previous years focused on the link between design and marketing, this year’s ZDW Conference is turning towards design that helps. The event is becoming an open, creative platform mediating different perspectives that should help students, companies and the public to definitively abandon the idea of design as an aesthetically appealing and perhaps superfluous commodity. Other topics we will focus on include contemporary design education or inclusive design.
“Design that helps and is for everyone. This is how I could describe this year’s ZDW Conference, which is truly for everyone. Whether for disabled participants or for the deaf, for which sign language interpretation will be available,” adds Iveta Klúčiková, one of the producers, about the accessibility of the event.
The Zlin Design Week conference is organised in cooperation with Design and Architecture Norway and Kreativní Praha as part of the project Universal Design – Mapping the Potential and Engaging the New Generation in the Creative Industries, supported by the EEA and Norway Grants. Together with the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, which is the official organiser of Zlin Design Week, this year’s Conference is also linked to the 100 Years of Zlin Design (100ZD) project.
