National Student Design Award 2025
19. May 2025A competition that opens the door to the future for young designers. The National Student Design Award 2025 is now open for entries. We are looking for the most imaginative, progressive and well-crafted student work in 3D design and applied arts.
Who can participate?
Students of colleges, universities, vocational schools and secondary vocational schools can apply. Applications can be submitted until 30 June 2025 via the website www.studentskydesign.cz.
What works can you submit?
The competition is open to entries from the field of 3D design and applied art – from product and industrial design through furniture, lighting, glass, porcelain, textile and clothing design, footwear, accessories, jewellery to transport design, medical technology, packaging or interior design. Quality of design, innovation, functionality, aesthetics and social impact are evaluated. The competition is open to works created between 1 January 2022 and 30 June 2025.
The jury awards titles at several levels:
- National Student Design Award 2025 GRAND
- National Student Design Award 2025 JUNIOR
- Excellent Student Design 2025
- Good Student Design 2025
The winners can look forward not only to the prestigious title, but also to financial rewards of 150,000 CZK, internships in Czech institutions, representation in museum collections, access to the library of Matério materials, professional literature, subscriptions to journals and material prizes from companies.
The award ceremony will take place on 7 November 2025 at the Municipal Library in Prague. A selection of the awarded and nominated works will be presented at the exhibition Nový (z)boží / New G(o)ods! NCSD 2025, which will take place in October and November at the Passage of Czech Design in Prague.
