Dog Shelter Spring 2023

The Dumb Face project organizes the traditional Shelter Spring event, which takes place on April 1, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Zlín-Vršava Shelter for Animals in Need. Visitors can look forward to a rich cultural program in addition to the already traditional outing. The goal of the event is to support the shelter and remind the importance of mutual help and support in today’s difficult times.

Shelter Spring is a one-day event dedicated to supporting shelters for animals in need. This event is traditionally organized by the student project Dumb Face, which operates within the subject Projects of non-profit organizations under the auspices of our faculty.

Visitors can look forward, as every year, to traditional roasting by the fire, a creative and sports station for children, cultural inserts and, of course, there will be traditional dog walking. Entry to the event is voluntary for everyone. The goal of the event is not only to support the shelter, but to draw the public’s attention to the necessity of help and support in today’s problematic times, which is also demonstrated by the project itself, as the proceeds from the entire event will go to support the mute faces in the shelter.

“We are looking forward to the fact that we once again managed to not only prepare a great program for all visitors, but that at the same time we will be able to support the mute faces in the shelter together. We believe that we will succeed in reminding people that they are there for each other and that together we can do good things for animals and for the whole society,” said Kristýna Musilová, the project’s chief manager.

The Shelter Spring event has become a popular event among the citizens of Zlín and this year again brings the opportunity to spend a pleasant afternoon in nature, support a good cause and at the same time enjoy fun with family and friends. Come support the furries at the shelter and enjoy a beautiful spring afternoon in nature!
