Animated films from Zlín in the Magnesia Awards
11. December 2023An integral part of awarding the Czech Lion is the Magnesia Award for the best student film. This year’s edition of the Magnesia Prize is particularly successful for our faculty, as three animated films from the Animováná tvorba studio made it to this selection, and they make up almost half of all the selected animated films that made it to the list.
Twenty titles are shortlisted each year, which include documentary, live and animated work from all Czech schools. This year FMK is represented by:
- diploma thesis of Niko Mlynarčík’s Bolavlk
- diploma thesis of Nika Zinoveva’s Whatman
- bachelor thesis I Will Die in This House by Adriana Bendžalová
