Why Study at the FMC?
Creatives, event coordinators, advertising professionals, film-makers, photographers, graphic artists, designers of footwear, clothing and glass… A unique kind of tertiary department. Two directions of study. Marketers and artists. The former for the latter, the latter for the former. That is Faculty of Multimedia Communications Neither film nor shoes will sell without advertising. An advertising poster will not draw itself without a graphic designer. That is why this unique interconnection came about. Creatives use studios with top technical, material and styled equipment. Marketers make use of their skills mainly in the communication agency where they lead real projects. They organise an unorthodox music festival in trolleybusses – the BusFEsT, or the Zlín Design Week – a week full of design in the streets of the city – all this from the core ideas over the establishment of the promotion plan, production of promotion materials and fund-raising down to ensuring media publicity.

Faculty of Media Communications is a creative faculty. We give our students the maximum room for implementing their own ideas and for developing their creative abilities. If you have artistic talent and you want to find application as a designer or graphic designer, or you want to work in film, television or animation studios, or in production companies, it is just the right kind of faculty for you. The same applies if you are interested in working in the media, in advertising and communication agencies in the field of public relations, but also in the NGO sector. International graphic designer competitions, design shows, film festivals, fashion shows, exhibitions, or competitions of advertising creators – our students place high in all such events.
