EXIST 2025 fashion show is coming to Prague
14. May 2025Young fashion design from our faculty will be presented in a new context. Graduates of the Fashion Design Studio will present their final collections at EXIST 2025, which will take place in Prague for the first time. On Saturday, 21 June, the Palác Karlín office building will be transformed into a catwalk show and will offer a glimpse of the most current work of Zlín’s talents.
After last year’s show in the new auditorium designed by Eva Jiřičná, another shift is coming – not only geographical, but also symbolic. The move to the capital city confirms the growing interest in the work of the Zlín studio and at the same time an effort to introduce it to a wider audience outside the region. Ten bachelor and three master collections will appear on the catwalk, thematically moving between personal stories, conceptual visions and material research. From heroin chic and art horror aesthetics, to working with the polka dot as a design principle, to designs inspired by the digital world and video games.
The collections were created under the guidance of MgA. Lenka Mičolová, MgA. Adriana Šatková and head of the studio doc. MgA. Kristýna Petříčková, Ph.D., who adds to them: “This year’s final works of the graduates will present a varied thematic range reflecting both current events and the inner creative world of the young generation of designers – through an experiment with an ecological alternative to textile material, bacterial cellulose, as well as inspiration from tapestry manufacture to a collection reflecting, for example, virtual environments.”
Music will be provided by the proven duo Rainer & Nanashi, who have become an integral part of the show. Their fusion of electronics and performance creates a unique soundscape that responds to the rhythm of the collections and enhances their atmosphere.
