Students of the Audiovisual Production Studio celebrate success in an international competition
11. April 2025The students from the Audiovisual Production Studio shone at the 48h European Interschool Challenge, an international film competition organized by the French school 3iS. They won 2nd place with their film “5G”! This year’s competition theme “Oops, I didn’t do it on purpose” brought great challenges and involved six film schools from all over Europe.
The whole event is organised under the GEECT (European Group of Film and Television Schools), and the concept is pretty action-packed – teams have just 48 hours to create a short film. From scripting to shooting, editing to post-production, every detail had to be perfect. “All 17 of our crews managed to finish their films on time, which is a great achievement in itself,” said studio head MgA. Irena Pustina Kocí, Ph.D., MBA. However, the film “5G” managed to impress the jury and won second place in the international competition.
This competition offers not only a space for creative expression, but also the opportunity to connect European film schools, share experiences and build links. Our students were tasked with not only sticking to the theme, but also to incorporate a prop – a kitchen robot – and a “Where am I?” line. And they did great!
